Tourist Flashes at Bangkok Temple

587px-Wat_Phra_Kaew_entrance_photo_D_Ramey_LoganEarlier this week, two tourists from Serbia were fined a total of 10,000 baht for taking inappropriate photos at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok. The photos consisted of a woman posing on one of the temple walls with her legs and underwear exposed.

The photos have gone viral over social media and are paired with angry commentary from the Thai public. The couple was charged with obscenity and violating section 388 of the Criminal Code, says police stationed at the Suvarnabhumi airport.

The couple commented on the incident that they “had no idea” of their wrong doings. The case and images have now gained national coverage.
